You Can Create A Powerful Legacy

We all desire to live and leave a legacy on this earth. This is why we spend our time obtaining wealth and raising families. Through the life of Paul, we learn how to create a powerful legacy by going after our purpose, sharing our experiences, and serving others.

Go After Your God-Given Purpose

Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
Ephesians 3:8-9

As a man imprisoned for spreading the Gospel, Paul reflects on his life and the purpose he received from Jesus. Before encountering Jesus on the road of Damascus, Paul was a man that imprisoned anyone who followed Jesus.

Over the coming decades, Paul established churches across Asia and shared the same Gospel he once fought against. Paul’s purpose guided his every action and empowered him to live and leave a legacy drawing millions to Jesus.  

Born To Lead

Myles Munroe was born in one of the poorest towns in Nassau Bahamas. Despite the obstacles surrounding his life, Myles dedicated himself to pursuing his purpose of raising leaders and counseling governments.

This calling led him to serve in an international ministry and write dozens of books teaching people how to achieve their God-given purpose. Although he passed away in 2014, Munroe’s legacy still lives on in his children and everyone that applies his teachings.

The lives of Paul and Munroe show us the incredible things we can do by pursuing our God-given purpose. He will empower us with everything we need to impact this generation and the next.

Share Your Struggles and Experiences

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
Ephesians 3:10-13

Paul encourages the Philippians from prison to remain strong in their faith. Instead of this being a reason for them leaving their faith, Paul wanted to show them the enduring power Jesus would give them to overcome their situations. Eventually, Paul was released from prison and continued encouraging believers to follow Christ.

My Personal Challenges

I often share personal stories to help others see how Jesus can change their lives. Although I’ve experienced a life of depression and hopelessness, God gave me a purpose to empower others to follow Him. This conviction has allowed me to conquer these feelings and draw others to the God that can help them do the same

Although we may not always see value in our struggles, God can use them to change the lives of others. Continue sharing your story with people in need and you will establish a legacy that will live through them. 

Dedicate Yourself To Serving Others

For this reason I kneel before the Father,  from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19

Paul received his purpose from Jesus and dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel across Asia. This led him to teach and raise leaders that would serve churches in their communities.

While imprisoned, Paul wrote letters to the churches and continually prayed they would discover the love of Christ. Because Paul gave his life to serving others, he left a legacy that still influences us today. 

Our Greatest Example Of Legacy

Throughout the four Gospels, we see Jesus teach and heal thousands of people that came to Him. Although He was hurt and rejected by His people, Jesus continued to serve them and eventually gave His life to restore our relationship with God. Jesus dedicated his life to serving others and it’s through his life that we learn to do the same.

Servitude is the key to living and leaving a legacy on earth. As you dedicate yourself to serving others, you will change their lives and achieve the greatest you desire.

Your Legacy Is In Your Hands

You have the power to live and leave a legacy on earth. By pursuing your God-given purpose, you place yourself in a position to change generations. Through sharing your experiences, you can reach and inspire others to follow God.

By serving others, you will personally change their lives. Your legacy is in your hands and it begins by accepting the one God desires for you.
