The Lord Of Grace
Our God is always gracious to us. And He extends His grace to us in undeserving moments. Through his example, we can learn the meaning of grace and why it matters in our relationship with Him.
We Are Saved By Grace
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
Grace is the kindness and favor that God freely offers to humanity. God’s grace allowed Jesus to die for our sins and restore our relationship with Him. It’s something we can never earn or repay. And it’s through our faith in Jesus that we can receive it.
Noah’s Ark
Noah was a man that found grace with God in a generation of people that turned away from Him. Because of his faith, Noah followed the words of the Lord and built an ark to house the animals and his family.
After several months, the waters died up. And the Lord allowed humanity to repopulate the earth.
The Lord has allowed us to receive His grace. The only way to receive this gift is by having faith in Him and following His path for us.
The Pharisee And The Tax Collector
In the book of Luke, Jesus gives us a parable about a Pharisee and Tax Collector praying in the temple. The pharisee told the Lord everything he did to earn salvation. And the tax collector asked for mercy.
Despite their very different situations, Jesus told his followers that the Lord justified the tax collector because of his humility.
God Gives Us Grace To Do His Work
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The Lord laid out everything we would do before we were born. He knew all doubts, failures, and successes well before we made them. Despite these things, the Lord is patient and desires to help us fulfill our purpose.
Laws For Kings
In Deuteronomy 17, the Lord tells Israel they will one day ask for a human king. Although the Lord never desired this, He graced Israel with the opportunity to have a king aligned with his heart and will. Through this line, the Lord would send His Son Jesus into the world and restore all of humanity to Himself.
We All Have Grace
Even with our flaws, God can still use us to accomplish incredible things. All we have to do is continue following His path in our lives.
