God’s Grace Is Enough

The Power Of God’s Grace

God’s grace is enough for us all. He gives us the strength to endure our struggles and the perspective to realize the benefits they bring.

God’s Grace Gives Us Strength

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Paul received a thorn in the flesh from a messenger of Satan. After praying three times for the Lord to remove his condition, the Lord tells Paul that His grace is enough to cover Him. Wherever Paul was weak, the Lord used His strength to empower Him.

Grace In Being Young

The Lord appointed the prophet Jeremiah when Israel turned away from Him. As a young man, Jeremiah didn’t believe he was old or wise enough to share the Lord’s message. Seeing his fears, the Lord reassured Jeremiah that He would give him the words to say and deliver him from every trap of his enemies.

God’s Grace Gives Perspective

Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

With time, Paul began to see his thorn as a benefit. Although he suffered, the thorn moved Paul to draw closer to God. And see trials and weakness as opportunities for the Lord to use His power.

Changing A Generation

Like Jeremiah, I’ve struggled with being young in ministry. For some time, I believed I was not wise or strong enough to lead people to serve Jesus. Through the Lord’s help, I Now see my age as an advantage. I have the understanding to connect with people in my generation. And the insight to bring our church into the digital age with technology.

Our God Is Enough

Although we all have struggles, God’s grace can cover them all. Through His strength, we can overcome any insecurities or weaknesses we have. With his perspective, we can see our flaws and challenges as opportunities to deepen our relationship with Him.
