How To Experience Perfect Peace | Trusting In God Fully 

God Will Give Us Peace

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Isaiah 26:2

God can give us peace that surpasses all understanding. And give us hope in situations that seem impossible. We can all experience this and it begins with us trusting Him.

The Peace To Endure

When the world was consumed by injustice and death Israel proclaimed that God would bring freedom and salvation. He would wipe every tear and establish His Kingdom among the people. Until that time, Israel would need God’s peace to endure many hardships. And conquer their challenges.

Jesus Gave Us Peace

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 14:27

Jesus told His disciples that He would one day return to the Father. In that time, He would send the Holy Spirit and empower them with His peace. They faced many challenges spreading the Gospel but His power helped them establish the Church. And carry His name throughout the world.

Paul Experiences Jesus Peace

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well-fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:11-13

The apostle Paul suffered greatly during his ministry. Despite being beaten and imprisoned for the Gospel, Paul expressed that these experiences enabled Him to receive the peace of Christ. And find contentment and prosperity in every struggle. This lesson has been carried throughout time and still empowers our faith today to know that Jesus is with them.

Today we face many of the same challenges. Despite our situations, we can receive God’s peace and contentment to overcome them all. Everything may not end when we desire, but they stop us from moving forward.

If We Trust Him

To receive God’s peace, Israel needed to trust Him. They would go through difficult moments but the Lord was there to cover them. When the time was right, the Lord fulfilled His promise and brought ultimate freedom through His Son Jesus. Who gave His life to conquer sin and death.

Daniel’s Faith In God

19 At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. 

20 When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”

21 Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! 

22 My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

Daniel 4:19-22

Daniel had many enemies in the land of Babylon. To prevent Daniel from ruling the kingdom, some officials plotted to kill him for serving the Lord. Daniel could have easily turned from God to save his life. Instead, he trusted the Lord’s strength and spent the night in the lion’s pit. The following day, the king found that an angel had protected Daniel from the lions and punished his enemies.

Nehemiah and The Wall

19 Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall.

20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”

Nehemiah 4:19-20

Nehemiah and Judah faced many obstacles while rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Despite the tireless work ahead, Nehemiah and the people encouraged themselves in the Lord and committed themselves fully to restoring their city.

The Peace To Overcome

God can give us peace in every situation. In doubt, He will provide the wisdom and comfort we need. To receive His help, we must trust in Him and be willing to follow Him despite how everything looks.
